Nyada

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 16, 2026

Nyada is operated by Monestiva LLC ("we", "us"), the controller of your personal information. This policy describes what Nyada collects and why. It is written to match what the app actually does.

What we collect

Your phone number. Required. We verify it by SMS through Google Firebase. It is how we know you are a real, single person.

Your profile. First name, age, gender, who you want to meet, what you are looking for, a photo, and a 20-second intro video.

Your location. If you grant permission, we read your device's location to compute distance to other users.

Your recordings. Voice notes you send to matches.

Optional community and launch updates. If you join an interest list, we store the details you submit. The Boca form asks for your first name, email, town or city, phone platform, and confirmation that you are 18 or older. We also record the campaign and signup time. We use these details to email you relevant community invitations, group plans, feedback requests, and launch or platform updates. This list is separate from your app account and does not reserve a place or provide access to the app. You can leave the list, correct your details, or ask us to delete your interest-list information by emailing support@nyada.app.

Safety information. We store reports and account activity needed to operate conversations, prevent abuse, and support members.

Technical data. Device type, app version, crash reports, and push notification tokens.

What other users can see

Other users see your first name, age, approximate distance, city, photo, intro video, and what you are looking for.

Other users never see your phone number unless you and they both choose to lock in.

Other users never see your exact location. Before your location is stored anywhere another user can read, we round it to roughly one kilometre. Your precise coordinates stay in a private record only you can read. This is deliberate: precise coordinates in a dating app can be used to work out where someone lives.

What we do with it

We use your data to run the service: to show you people nearby, to deliver your voice notes, to connect your calls, to notify you when someone replies, and to investigate safety reports.

We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not share your data with data brokers.

Who processes it for us

  • Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, push notifications, crash reporting
  • Daily.co — carries live audio and video calls
  • Anthropic — checks your current profile photo for a real person and appropriate content, only after you choose “Allow photo check.” You can skip AI verification and use Nyada without an AI verification badge.
  • Apple / Google — app distribution and push delivery

Each is bound by contract to process your data only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

Your profile and recordings exist until you delete your account. When you delete it, we remove your profile, your photo and video, your matches, and your voice notes from other people's conversations. This runs automatically and normally completes within minutes.

Safety reports are kept for up to 12 months after the account is closed, so a banned user cannot simply return. When a conversation is reported, its voice notes may be kept separately for moderator review for 30 days after the report, including after blocking or account deletion. Playback is restricted to authorized moderators; expired recordings are removed by daily cleanup.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can:

  • See what we hold about you
  • Correct it
  • Delete it — Settings → Delete Account, which is a real deletion, not a flag
  • Take it elsewhere

If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have these rights by law, plus the right to object to processing and to complain to your regulator. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those laws define it.

To exercise any of them: support@nyada.app

Children

Nyada is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to a minor we delete it immediately. Report suspected minors in-app.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is enforced server-side: our security rules make it structurally impossible for one user to read another's phone number, private location, or conversation, regardless of what a modified app might request.

No system is perfect. We will notify you and the relevant regulator if a breach affects you.
